Help Wounded Warriors Stay in Touch with Loved Ones This Holiday Season

(Camp Hill, PA) – The ASIS Central PA Chapter is teaming up with Rite-Aid and other sponsors to raise funds to purchase long distance calling cards for wounded or disabled veterans currently receiving treatment at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center located in Washington, D.C. The hospital provides many services for soldiers but one expense not covered are long distance phone calls. Kevin Doss and Michael Nagurny of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) began the effort to help soldiers stay in touch with loved ones in 2007 and have since delivered over $8,000 worth of phone cards to recovering troops.

“We are thrilled to announce that for 2009 our local program has been adopted by ASIS on a nationwide level,” says Nagurny. “This will allow ASIS members across the USA to assist wounded soldiers, sailors, and Marines far beyond Walter Reed AMC.” 100% of the proceeds go toward purchasing calling cards and/or fulfilling other needs expressed by recovering soldiers. Delivery of the phone cards are slated for the beginning of December, but donations will be accepted throughout the holiday season to ensure as many service men and women are able to keep in touch with loved ones.

If you’re interesting in making a donation, please send pre-paid phone cards or checks payable to the ASIS Central PA Chapter to:

ASIS Central PA Chapter
PO Box 1591
Camp Hill, PA 17001

Or you can make your donation right now with a credit card or through your PayPal account. (You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this link to donate.)

Thank you for donating.

Thank you for supporting this worthy cause.
